Toronto Summers

My research and teaching are concerned with building inclusive, sustainable communities. Specifically, my recent work includes research on affordable housing in Australia and California, and transport justice/equity in Canada and the United States. In teaching, I emphasize project-based and active-learning strategies designed to appeal to a diverse range of learning styles. My service work is grounded in building equitable relationships characterized by reciprocity and accountability.

Quotes on my mind these days:

“Amplification is great, action is non-negotiable.”

“Everything is related to everything else. But near things are more related than distant things.”

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
